36 Week Appointment
Monday, March 8th was our 36 week baby check up and there is really not much to report; so far this has been an uneventful pregnancy and that is just the way we like it! The nurse and doctor checked all of the standard things: weight and blood pressure were both good, they measured my belly which was right on track measuring at 36 cm, and Baby Pulse has a nice strong heart beat. My appointments will be weekly now that we are in the final stretch; the doctors will be keeping a close eye on everything that is going on. The doctor also reminded us of some of the things that can/will happen when labor is starting and when to call them. We also discussed pain management options for the big day. That conversation made it all seem very close; Baby Pulse will be here in no time! I think the baby is really ready to come out because he/she has been moving and kicking so much it feels like they are trying to escape. My coworkers have started a baby pool, I am guessing a March baby….or maybe that is just what I am hoping for? Anyway, that is it for now, the picture below is me and my huge belly at 36 weeks…..

Welcome
Welcome to our family blog. There is so much going on in our lives these days, we thought this would be a great way to keep our family and friends in the loop. This journal is going to include our family stories, pregnancy countdown 2010 with baby updates, and of course lots of pictures of the Pulse Family!
The biggest thing in our lives right now is my pregnant belly; I am 33 weeks along and the countdown is definitely on. I am not sure about Adam, but I know I am ready for this kid to get here so that maybe I will be able to touch my toes again, or go for longer than an hour in the day without visiting the restroom; besides all of that, I am ready to meet the little munchkin that has been kicking me and using my organs as punching bags! We aren’t sure if we are having a girl or a boy, but I can tell you they are going to come into this world with some muscle.
We had our third trimester ultrasound last week (32 weeks) and baby Pulse’s development is right on track, measuring in the 55th percentile in regards to his/her size. The ultrasound weighed the baby in at 4 pounds and 9 ounces. Our next appointment is February 25th so we will keep you posted.
I wanted to include some pictures of how far we have come. The first picture is an inside view, this is from our last ultrasound and its a 3D image of baby Pulse sleeping on his/her little arm; the next one is of my belly at only 12 weeks (will I ever look like that again); and the last picture is at week 32 (what a change, huh?).
