4 Month Doctor Visit

Ethan went to the doctor on August 27, 2010 for his 4-month check up; unfortunately I had to work so Adam was on his own for this one. Luckily, I had the great idea to have Adam secretly call me so that I could listen in on what the doctor said. :)

Everything is going really well, he was 17 pounds 2 ounces and 26.25 inches long; he is growing by leaps and bounds! The doctor also told us to start giving him fruits two times per day before his bottle. We started with apples and it did not go very well; he made a horrible face after the first taste and then after another he started gagging, YIKES! We decided to try mixing it with some of his cereal and that went a lot better. Luckily, we caught the whole thing on video.......

Since then he has tried bananas, which seem to be his favorite, and peaches. He has even gotten used to the apples and does not need them mixed with cereal anymore.

September 7, 2010 Ethan went to his first full day of daycare; he will be going 3 days a week. I drop him off in the mornings and Adam gets to pick him up after work. It was really hard to drop him off and I thought about him the whole day, I only called once to check in so I think that was pretty good? He did great, Patty said that he was a joy (not a suprise), napped really well, ate really well, and loved to watch all of the action. We are hopeful that it will get easier for us, Ethan does not seem to mind at all.....stay tuned for daycare updates!

4 Months Old

August 9th Ethan hit the 4-month mark; he is growing by leaps and bounds! He does not have the 4-month doctor visit until August 27th so we will have to wait until then to get his official weight and height, but according to our home scale he was 16lbs about a week ago!

Now he is pro at rolling over onto his belly, but is still having a hard time rolling back FROM his belly. After about 5 minutes of trying he usually gets frustrated and starts screaming. He will figure it out soon; he has done it twice by mistake so it's only a matter of time. We have also discovered that he likes to sleep on his side, it is the cutest thing. Now that he is able to move around on his own a bit more he can get comfortable when he sleeps, he curls up on his side and closes those little eyes.

4 Month Crib Picture

August 14 mommy and Ethan went to Green Lake and Ethan went on his first boat ride, he loved it. Jaja even taught him how to drive the boat.

On our way back to the house the water was pretty choppy and Ethan thought it was hilarious!

Ethan and Lorraine were Baptized in St. Juliana's Chapel by Father Ken on July 24, 2010. After church we had a party at Busia and Jaja Jablonski's, the babies were great! Check out the pictures....
